Fix The Country hashtag is trending on Twitter in Ghana and the world at large. It is currently the fourth trending topic in the world. #Fix The Country currently has 287, 000 (287k) tweets on Twitter alone.
The hashtag which is at the moment attracting many Twitter users to join in the campaign on social media is meant to address pressing critical problems burdening the Ghanaian populace.
Fix The Country is being spearheaded by the Ghanaian youth who have lost confidence in their political leaders due to the many challenges facing the country.
They explained that, Ghana is faced with problems like
1. Galamsey menace,
2. Lack of potable water,
3. Inadequate school blocks
4. Inadequate and teaching and learning materials,
5. Inadequate hospital beds
6. Lack of health centres in remote areas
7. Poor roads
8. Unending increase in fuel and other commodities
11. And on top of that all, high unemployment in the country.
Many Celebrities like Nana Aba Anamoah, Bridget Otuu, Yvonne Nelson, Efia Odo, and others joined the campaign for a better Ghana.
