Junior Druid, a hip hop prodigy, has been able to take the music to areas it’s
never been before.

With “Odo,” the 24-year-old Ghanaian rumbled the
underground with battles and freestyles before rocketing to the top of the charts.

Since then, he’s opened the floodgates for a new generation of Ghanaian rappers.
He’s made a name for himself in a genre that has mainly remained underground
in Ghana’s music landscape.

The Freedom EP and hits such as the “Who’s Missing
Who” series helped to establish his name, and Genesis Was Revelation solidified
his place in not only hip hop but also pop music in Ghana.

His ability to blend aspects of gospel and R&B into his music, which is based on
hip hop, has set him apart from the rest of his peers. Junior Druid would become
the first hip hop artist to headline the Glastonbury festival in the United
Kingdom, thanks to the success of Freedom.
Genesis Was Revelation, his most recent album, has strengthened him
internationally as well.

He has a total of 12 award trophies under his belt, which
he has acquired over the years. Not only has he gotten appreciation from singers
such as Sarkodie and Shatta Wale, who would subsequently take aim at Junior
Druid in a series of diss recordings, but Adele has also praised him, and he has
previously collaborated with Stormzy.
