Ghanaian musician Michael Owusu Addo, also known as Sarkodie, has spoken out about the bogus Dr. United Nations award he received last year.
Dr. Kwame Owusu Fordjour, popularly known as Dr. UN, the rapper’s self-proclaimed world ambassador, presented him with an award.
Those recognized were D-Black, Berla Mundi, Johnnie Hughes, Dr. Okoe Boye, Daughters of Glorious Jesus, Nathaniel Attoh, SK Boafo, Chairman Wontumi, and others.
However, a subsequent investigation discovered that, contrary to Mr. Fordjour’s assertions, the incentive scheme had no links to the United Nations.
After getting mockery from Twitter users and trolls, Sarkodie has officially addressed what happened at the performance.
He did, however, explain that he went there because his manager Angelo told him they had an appointment and that he needed to honor that. He went on to claim that when he arrived, he observed several signs that the awards were not real, but he refused to leave because of the dignitaries he saw Sarkodie disclosed during an interview on Pure FM with Hammer Nti on HammerTime.
