Young and fast rising Ghanaian Dancehall diva, Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng popularly known by her stage name as Ebony Reigns died in a gory accident three years ago after she visited her mother with two other — a military man and a female friend of hers in Sunyani.
Ebony Reigns, 20, at her young age became the first ever female artist and youngest to win ‘Artist Of The Year’ at the 2018 edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Award and that makes a her a legend.
After her sudden death which shook the entire nation, there was a lot of brouhaha between Ebony’s Boss Bullet and her father, Mr Nana Opoku Kwarteng popularly known as Starboy Kwarteng over Ebony’s unreleased songs.
As a result, a press statement was released by RuffTown Records washing their hands off any unreleased songs of the late Ebony.
Mr Kwarteng after Bullet washed his hands off Ebony’s unreleased songs launched his own record label, ‘Bony To The World Records’ and signed her first Artist, Kim Maureen.
Kim released her first single under his record label dubbed ‘New Crush’.
Afterwards, Ghanaian barely heard from the camp of StarBoy Kwarteng until today on Hitz 103.9 that he lamented about the laziness of his artist.
According to the CEO of ‘Bony To The World Records’, his artiste who signed a five years contract with the record label was contracted to produce seven albums because she claimed she wanted to do things fast but, that has not been materialized.
Although the “New Crush” singer had everything at her disposal, per Starboy Kwarteng, she hasn’t been doing what she had been tasked to do.
He revealed that, after he signed her to his record label, he gave her a room in his house for her to feel comfortable and not be disturbed only for her to do the writing of songs and going to studios to record since that was what she was tasked to do.
But according to Starboy Kwarteng, Kim always leave the house whenever he leaves the country making him feel she’s too lazy to maintain the legacy her late Daughter left behind since that was the main reason he signed her.
